I don't think it was ever armed though, or was it? Was damn fast no matter what, fastest piston engine plane ever i think, or?

Powerplant was a 3000 hp PW 4360. armed with six M2 50 cals. *If* it had made it past experimental stage, it would have likely been the P-47Q. Tests show that it would have likely boasted over 3600 HP under WEP!! This AC if had been pursued would have been a 500+ MPH AC.
