Sheesh... everyone keeps complaining about getting framerates in the 20's or 30's... my AVERAGE framerate is 28... and I still do okay, if you want to say I killed you simply because your fr was "only" 30, I say you are full of it. I deal with low fr's all the time, and yes, I get killed a lot. But, I also do some killing, so the whole fr issue is silly unless you drop into the single digits like I often do. Yeah, I know... upgrade...

BGBMaw, The frame rate hits in Tunisia is not your computers fault. I built the map and something is seriously wrong with the Tunisia.AWA file ( the cloud file for Tunisia) I opened it up and it's not putting the clouds in the Depth, it's putting all the clouds and compacting them on the first row. I have already changed the .AWA file. I'll email HTC and see if they want to replace the map with the revised one for the next time Tunisia hits the CT. Until then, My suggestion is to stay away from the clouds for the moment, That shouldn't be hard to do, they aren't used heavily in the map.

Agree, haven't noticed it on this map but have on some others, huge cloud layers bring down the smoke. As long as your FPS is 26 or above it doesn't matter, since all our eyes see is 26.

Or at least that is the popular fiction.  The truth is quite a bit different.  here is a good link on the subject.

BGBMAW, sorry to hijack your thread.  Good luck on that framerate, mine sometimes drops as low as 15 in the storm front which is plenty bad enough.  I'm excited that Nuttz has located the problem.

Nutts, as always, thanks for all your hard work!
