Anything off of a Royal Navy CV please, we are an FAA squad.

Seafire
Sea Hurricanes (any type)
Malta based Spits

After that, anything LW is ok with us. I realise first picks are in no way guaranteed, we will have fun regardless!

Will be there with 4-6

Regards.

Friday Squad Ops CM Team
1841 Squadron Fleet Air Arm
Aces High since Tour 24

Well, Firebirds would prefer Allies also. And we were Axis last time... ;)

If KG2 is allowed to fly in this one (PLEEEASE!), we would, of course, prefer to fly the Ju88 (probably the most capable WW2 bomber ever) :-) No complaints here about the planeset!

Esme (still waiting to hear when we can start taking part) :-)

In the initial phase of Battle over Malta germans hadn't G2's :)
I think you will fly it over Malta in Operation Hercules.

yup, but they had a CV there (btw this CV was sunked by Axis fleet) and it was protected by planes based on it (Hurries if memory serves me well).
Problem with TODs is that we need to have it fun for both Axis and Allies. It wouldn't be fun without  protected CV (and it can be donte by Seafires... and believe me - it's better for Axis to fly against Seafires not CV based hirries with 20mm's :))

I am not sure that making seafires available for this scenario is a good idea. Same with hurriesC, If I remember it correctly, none were at Malta around the time of scenario. IC -- may be, IIC -- I doubt it greatly.

Ever tried to fly emil against seafires? Think it is fun? Seafire outclass emil in everything. If you will had IIC -- it is again another historic time plane. You might as well add 109f4 then for axis.

i will provide you siutable data when get back home from work.
That or other way i can't see Allies hunting JU'88s without few flying bricks with 20mm's. Do you think it would be fun?
Axis will have numbers at this TOD... and as you probably know TODs are different then MA and this TOD is "objective based" not "points based" so all you need it to follow you abjectives, not trying to kill all enemy A/C at all costs.
I hope it's going to work fine with this planeset.
Note that 20mm Hurries are limited so don't expect thwm to fly around Malta all the time.

Example:
5 Hurriec IIC are attacked by 20 C.202's - who do you think gonna survive it?
5 Hurries IIC attacking 10JU88's covered by 15 C.202's - see much chances for this hurries?

The way of plane usage is decisive here :)

It will be. I flew Sicilly for axis, it was fun, though numbers were in Allies advantage badly.

I do not care about numbers, points, and win in a historic scenarious. I care about immersion. I just can get it all faster, more intense, and with much greater divercity in MA, but I do not get immersion out of MA.

It is all a question of ballance. You have to substitute some planes, just because AH plane set is limited, but you have to be extremely careful with it. 110c instead of ju87b is ok, seafire instead of gladiators, and hurrie IIC instead of Ib -- it is not.

When you too care about "fun" at a price of "imersion" -- you get squad flying MA instead of TOD. Though may be that is what you want it to be, I do not know. But in my opinion this way is wrong.
