What a great game. The spanish goalkeeper was superb and according to the fact that the Spain had to play with 10 players during the last 25 minutes they deserved the win of the game.

WTG SPAIN !!!

:D :D :D

Well I'm still trying to recover my heart...I think I lost it after the 10th heart attack...

my god...what a game of stupid mistakes by spain...(without trying to steal credit from Ireland, they played a good match nonetheless)

The goal Morientes missed when 2nd part started is IMPOSSIBLE to miss for a striker worth the title. I can understand that a great keepers' save can make you miss...but the fediddleIN IDIOT SHOT AT THE KEEPER!!!!

He's simply not worth being Spain's 9. Period.

Then Camacho...we have Xabi (Barcelona's midfielder), a guy who knows to control the pace of the match and distribute the ball properly, which was EXACTLY what we needed in the 2nd half. Now the stupid coach goes and puts Albelda there, a good player ,but not the one we needed...AND A PLAYER WHO WAS INJURED ALL THE WEEK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!. Just as it was to be expected, his injury took its toll and the player had to get out of the match for the extra time, so we were left with ten.

Way To Go, camacho, Way To Go.

Finally, hierro. What to say about this dinosaur, this piece of toejam, who, being 34 years old, made a penalty worth of a 5-year-old kid playing in his school. And not happy with making a  CLEAR STUPID penalty, he then claimed the referee "it hasn't been!".

Impressing. This guy should play no more minutes in this World Cup. Period.

Spain played well in 1st half, and 15 minutes of the second. Ireland pressed a lot last 30 minutes. I think is fair for us to pass, but they could've done it too and won't have been underserved.

I hope Camacho learns from this match's mistakes. We only can get THIS lucky, and we can't expect Casillas to be a hero every day (tho he uses to be one both in this team and with REal MAdrid).

Eire, your team was a very worthy adversary which could've very well beaten us.

Congrats Spain,

I wish you luck for the rest of the world cup.

Have to say tho, you guys can count yourselves very very lucky.
Over the 120 minutes we should have won it.

All credit to Spain tho,  backs to the wall your defence played a stormer.  Had Ian Harte stuck away that penalty,  I think it would have been a different game.

Were out of the world cup having qualified from a group including Portugal and Holland and not lost one game over the 90/120 minutes.  Thats life.

We'll be back tho and next time I can assure you, we'll do better.

There's possible european champions in our guys and anyone who puts a couple of euro bet on at this stage will be a smart move.

Espana and good luck

A dissapointed,

Gremlin.
