Mosquito Meeting 2002 - almost there!

The Nordic flight simulator community's summer camp, Mosquito Meeting 2002, is about to begin for the eight time!

Next Thursday the dweebs from WarBirds, Aces High, World War II Online,  European Air War, CFS2 and IL-2 communities will begin gathering under the same roof for a hectic four days and three nights of aviation action.

The participants will fly both virtually and real - the airfield right next to MM02 (see picture http://www.compart.fi/icebreakers/kuvat/mm01/day2-047.jpg MM01/02 location is the small clearing right in middle of the photo) has the Finnish glider flying championships going on during the convention, and virtual pilots will hop onto the gliders as well. Last year - about 75 % of participants flew the gliders, even piloted them - and nobody hurt themselves!

But what happened during the saturday night? Err MM01?

See it yourself:

The traditional online report will appear during the convention to the usual place:

Watch out - it will update daily. Hopefully.

The honorary guest of Mosquito Meeting 2002 is Robert L. Shaw, worldwide recognized master tactician of air combat and US Navy F-4 / F-14 pilot, author of the  Fighter Combat - Tactics and Maneuvering book.

The convention will also be honored by Finnish Air Force World War II veterans, of whom the higest scoring Finnish ace Kyösti Karhila and his squadmate Hemmo Leino, both aces many times over, have confirmed their visit. Other surprises might still come.

Mosquito Meeting is the oldest, longest running convention of the virtual pilots, seemingly worldwide. It is arranged by the Virtual Flying Squadron Icebreakers (VLeLv Icebreakers) and Virtuaalilentäjät - Virtual Pilots Finland association.

HOUSE OF THE UBERFINNS

There is a bunch of madman
 they call them Uberfinns.
And they've been the ruin of many poor con.
Oh God I know I'm one.

 They all are drinking FPO
and claim they like it too.
 NUTELLA is their favorite food
 and yes, they're flying nude.

The only thing an Uber needs
 is a Blitz and FPO.
 The only time he's satisfied
is when he's on a drunk.

 ------ organ solo ------

 Oh grendel, tell the newbies
not to do what we have done.
That's to fill your head with FPO
 and join the Uberfinns.

 When morning comes, the Uberfinns
 are lying on the floor.
 Oh please, bring more FPO
 for one is moving still.

There is a bunch of madman
 they call them Uberfinns.
And they've been the ruin of many poor con
Oh God I know I'm one.

JUNKERS 52

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Keep those Junkers rollin'
Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Kossu keep on rollin'
Try fly!

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Though the cons are swarming..
Keep them Junkers rollin'
but why!

Spits and 'stangs are waiting
I know they're salivating
Wishing I was sitting in my Frantz
Eight drunks have I with me
all are drinking whiskey
and puking at the end of my ride.

Chorus:
Head em' On,..... shoot em' up,.......
Shoot em' up,..... Head em' On
Head em' On,..... shoot em' up,.......
Try hide!

Throw em' out,..... dive em' in,.....
dive em' in,.... Throw em' out,
Throw em' out,.......Drunks are ....
falling down!.....

Keep movin', movin', movin'
Though cons dissaprovin',
Keep them dweebies shooting
us down!

No need to out'dive them,
just grab the gun and kill em'
Soon they'll be burning in the sky.

My mouth calculatin'
The cold beer will be waitin',
Be waitin' at the end of my ride.

Chorus:
Head em' On,..... shoot em' up,.......
Shoot em' up,..... Head em' On
Head em' On,..... shoot em' up,.......
Try climb!

Throw em' out,..... dive em' in,.....
dive em' in,.... Throw em' out,
Throw em' out,.......is that hill ....
too high!.....

Chorus:
Head em' On,..... shoot em' up,.......
Shoot em' up,..... Head em' On
Head em' On,..... shoot em' up,.......
We hide!

Throw em' out,..... dive em' in,.....
dive em' in,.... Throw em' out,
Throw em' out,.......Junkers ....
FiftyTwo!.....

Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Keep those Junkers rollin'
Rollin' Rollin' Rollin'
Kossu keep on rollin'
Fly high!

FLY HIGH!

Will there be alot of drinking, yelling things like "you IL2 guys are a buncha pretty boys"! and will there be brawls and fights between CFS2 and AH people? If so that sounds like alot of fun.

Some of the beer of MM01.

Examples of the booze.

And a little sight into last year's main room.

So yeah, lots of brawling and mud wresting promised!

Ozark if you're coming to Finland and Helsinki you don't need a hotel; I have a extra room and a place to meet fellow simmers. Open 24/7/365 and you can bring your own booze :D
