CH Pro Pedals USB failure?
« on: June 30, 2002, 09:22:55 PM »
I think I've got a failed set of pedals.  I am using the same map as always in CH Control Manager.  But, when I calibrate in Windows XP, the movement of the pedals does not do a thing.  Likewise, when i calibrate in Aces High, everything (stick & throttle) work but not my rudder, mapped to the pedals.

I have uninstalled the drivers and the pedals & reinstalled 'em.  No change!

Two or three weeks back I statrted to get an occasional hard over of left rudder.  I would have to exit AH, reinstall the map in CH Control Manager, and restart the game.  This would work until the next time.  Then last week I started to get what seemed like a sticking rudder (usually if not always left).  Now I have no ruddr control, no matter what I do.

Anybody had a similar problem?

Lost left break on my Ch USB Pedals, had to argue with the teck to get a RTM number , finally said to hell with it and fixed them myself, inside they do have a small pc board but the biggest problem is that they run the wiring through a pinch set up and the pedal carriage can hit the wires and break them thats what happened to me, now remember they do have a warranty so if thats still in place I would suggest sending them back for repair !

My CH PRO Peddals (USB) also has a non functional left brake.
It's under warrenty, so I'll take your advice and send them in instead of fixing them myself. The only problem is... I can't live without my peddals!

hey broke left break huh... same problem here!

You don't need to use the CH control manager thingy if you only have the pedals, at least in XP.  I've never used it, tho I use a saitek stick

Being a diy nerd & not wanting to do without my pedals I took them to bits when my left brake stopped working.
Theres a very thin wire that runs from the micro switch through a very thin plastic slot (to stop it falling into the moving bits) the slots so thin that when they put the wire in it cuts trough the wire so much that with movement it falls in half. I joined it up made the slot a wee bit wider then put them back together. Man theres alot of screws in them peds.  Springs are a pain to get back on as well :)

CH Products has been responsive and gave me an RMA to return my pedals for warranty service.
