Thought I remember a post from HTC saying that the navy wasn't coming in 1.04.  1.04 was basically planned to be more of a "fix" than an upgrade.  I'd hope to see one or two more planes in it... but I think the navy being included may be a stretch.

Is there dissention in the ranks of JG2?  We've seen several prominent members leave the group lately and while its really none of our business I was just curious. On a personal note I like flying against them and have alot of respect for their stick skill and honorable play.

No dissention, Weazel has admitted (Former CO) that creating 2 squads and growing was a mistake, and I concur.

Big squads are fun, but there are alot of personalities to deal with.  It takes a special person to deal with such a large squad, and I felt (since the beginning) that I was not the person for the job...I've always told Weazel that I just want to be a grunt.  CO position was  layed upon me, I took the challenge, enjoyed, but now its time to get back to my roots, Marine Corp Squads.

Udie left with some 900th squaddies (they had joined JG2 until more of the squad arrived), and I have left to start my own passion, that is with the F4U-1D corsair.

JG2 is, and always will be, a class act.

DmdBT, thanks for the kind words, you have always been an excellent adversary yourself! <S>

I concure with Ripsnort. JG is one class act.  I feel bad the way the 900th guys left, but it just seemed like a good time.  We left to form our old unit here since now there are enough of us to do it (we've been together since CK/WB beta)

After this weekend, I'm sure that most of the pilots in JG2 were left scratching their heads.  For that I'm sorry, I think we (the 900th) probobly owed them more of a notice than what we gave them (as in none).

 S! JG2!

When you guys come back to Knight land I still want to fly some missions with you guys, if you'll let me

Ripsnort,

You are a F4U-1D buff? 323 Death Rattlers?
I thought you were a Luftwabble till the end.

What gives?

F4UDOA-
I came from the VF-101 Grim Reapers in Warbirds, with the likes of EMAN, -AC-, Gigg, Iceman,Swit, and many others...JG2 was out of my norm.

My experience with squads showed me that no more than 12 guys was about the right number for me. You get bigger and you have more impact in the arena, but the trade-off was much more headache and heartache than it is worth (for me). There are some very effective large squads, no disrespect intended. Anyone taking that road had better be prepared however, as it can be daunting.

The Baby Harp Seals is the antithesis of the large squads, and I like it that way.

Rip,

Well then, welcome back to land of the living. We will have to get you on dailysis right away to get all of the saurkraut and schnitzel out of your blood. Eat a few burgers and drink a couple Budwisers and you should be ok in no time.

Oh yeah, your gonna have to get out of that silly uniform now. Go get yourself some camo's and olive drab T-shirts. All you have to do know is become a Bish and I'll join your squad too. I really wish the MA was allied and Axis. It's the best way to build real rival's in the game. Although the French and Italian guy's would have to flip a coin everyday to figure out what side to take.

hehe right now, the old 900th gang is called udie, since our favorite POW has a fat head.  We are tossing around some ideas on squad names, dunno if we are going to bring the 900th logo out of retirement just yet.  Udie came up with a name but dont think he is going to use it, the lightweight.  Literally!

Best of luck Ripsnort!

I know forming a new squadron can be a very exciteing time. Setting things up and doing it "Your Way" from scratch.

Best wishes from the 332nd Flying Mongrels
