This might be a fun feature...If you bail from a plane(or sucessfully ditch on the water) you can float for say 20 minutes before you die from hypothermia.Your mission ends in a death for stats.

But add an air-sea floatplane, you can get resued by a friend and have it scored as a ditch with the rescue pilot awarded points/perks.Also add "Rescues" to the bomber scoring as to encourage at least a couple of sucessful sortes per tour.

And finally have it become channel 1 text when someone is plunked out of the drink.

"Player XXX has rescued player YYY"..Now that might bring some funny comments to channel 1..:)

interesting concept.

but don't know many who would sit around doing nothing for 20 minutes for a few perkies.  did that kind of thing before in WWIIOL, it was called bunker-sitting.
all you fascists, you're bound to lose...

Well scurj, that might happen but it might not.I guess you'll never know until you try it......Say perhaps in a TOD or scenario like BoB...If you get killed you have the option of upping a floatplane to rescue a friendly who then upon retrieval can up another plane.

I honestly don't think anyone would complain about not being rescued in the MA.In fact I belive the squad based players would welcome it.

Back in 2000, in the 'Euro TOD'(tm), we had implemented this (Rescuing Bailed pilots with C47's). I think a lot of poeple had fun doing this(me included) but it was during a scenario, not in the MA...
