A7N266-C board - Funked please read

I really like it.  Install was a snap and all seems to be working well so far.  As Funked reported the ACR card with the multitude of audio connections is a pain to get installed, but I figured out how to get it to work if any of you need to do this.  (Funked might want to see this. :) )

The card won't fit right in a standard case because the "L-bracket" keeps you from inserting the card.  The easy fix I found was to just unscrew the two screws holding the bracket to the card.  Hold the bracket against the card and insert it into the ACR slot (it's easy now).  You will find that once it's in place the top screw hole will line up.  Reinsert this screw (and if you can the bottom one - I couldn't).  It took me a while to figure this out, but it's not too bad really.  The top screw is the ground to the audio connectors, so be sure you get that one back in place.

I've still got a long way to go to get everything reinstalled, but by late afternoon tommorow I hope to be up in AH. :D

My new system:

AMD Athlon XP 1900+
Asus A7N266-C rev 1.03 bios 1.01E
nVidia reference nForce drivers version 1.05
Win 2k pro - SP2 and security patch installed
MSI GeForce 4 Titanium 4200 with 27.20 drivers (soon to be updated)
2 x 256 MB PC 2100 DDR ram (Corsair) = 512 MB
Enlight Model 7250 case with 340W supply
Carry over components -
IBM 45 GB 75GXP hard drive
CD burner, blah, blah, blah ;)

Yep been there done that.  :D
Glad it is working for you.
I'm very happy with mine other than the ACR fit.

Instead of screws I used very small nylon wire ties to hold the bracket and card together.  I put the card in with the ties very loose, then made sure everything was aligned and unstressed, then tightened the ties.  I thought about grounding, but the card is in very tight contact with the metal disk on the surface of the card, so I figure it's grounded enough.  :D
