HT and/or Pyro...
« on: August 06, 2001, 05:57:00 PM »
Hello, I consider myself to be a valued member of the community and over the past 2 years (give or take) a big issue has been brought to my attention that I really think you need to address.  I have read many accounts by pilots written well after they flew the Hellcat in World War 2.  They said that it was the best fighter of the war.

Now, that being said, I have been shot down numerous times by every plane available in Aces High.  This is basically the issue that needs to be addressed.  Since the Hellcat was the best fighter of the war, I should not be able to be shot down by any plane.  Clearly, you can see that every plane is overmodelled because it was able to shoot me down.  Please fix this.

Thanks,
-math

HT and Pyro,

Mathman is 100% correct and the required changes must be made.  Well not 100%.  He got the aircraft wrong.  He meant the Fw190d9.

While you are appeasing to this dweeb who calls himself "Mathman", would you please give me the "godmode" you promised to give me long ago? I sure could use the blue text mode, invincibility, unlimited ammo, quadruple sized cannon hispano turbo-laser rounds, and the 2,000HP Nitros boost!

Thanks!

I agree with Mathman.  I too have been shot down several times flying the F6F-5.  This is not right and I demand that its lack of make-me-invincible-uber-characteristics be re-evaluated.

he was singing "She Bop" last night in the MA.  It was cruel and uncalled for.

While your at it HT my LA-7 would rule the skies if only my wep would work above 8k. Surely you can slide it up to say 12k?

Another 10 MPH  on the deck wouldn't hurt either.   :)

GONG[/]G

This thread and the singing must stop

Everytime I see math or anybody sing songs in the MA..they get gonged by me   :)

Shutting Animal up on RW is a little harder.  If nobody has heard Animal on RW...he sounds like the "gay" Puerto Rican from that 70's

I don't know why you guys seem to be taking this post as a joke.  I am serious.  Every book I have read (and for some reason, can't recall their titles at this time even though the books are sitting on my shelf right next to where I am sitting) indicate that the Hellcat was the best plane of the war.

Think about it.  5000+ kills of untrained Japanese pilots in planes that catch fire if you look at them cross-eyed must prove to you that the F6F was the absolute best plane of the war.

I think I speak for everyone when I say, "NOBODY thinks your singing is a laughing matter."

As for the fact that the F6F-5 was completely invincible in WW2, I wholeheartedly agree.  I hear the space shuttle was the first plane to actually beat its 0-50,000 time.  What amazes me is that fly-by-wire and 20mm rotary cannons were actually introduced in the Hellcat in the summer of 42... yet we are stuck with the 6 .50 cal variant and stupid out-of-trim controls.

Its obviously a conspiracy by a LW biased HTC.

Math, dammit; we've pointed the obvious out before.. seals and crofts are NOT on the EPA endangered list. YET.

As fer yer 'plane'; remove the wing, stand it on end, pack with ice, screw in the tap and pump the thing vigorously.

When the beers GONE, then put the wing back in and fly it. Things will be all better then.
