I hope not!
However this just may do it. The already small CT community will be split once again. Just my opinion, but I am still not convinced, that cutting peoples choices down is going to help populate any arena.
The new Mission Arena will be fun I'm sure, but I am not that interested if flying strict mission profiles. I enjoyed the CT because of the plane match-ups, you could fly Axis or you could fly Allied, and that was fine. The new system will  prob limit squad ops, and I think if the current CT staff would check, the recent increase in the CT population has been partly do to squadroms flying in CT. Now your going to hamstring the option for squads to fly together with mission restrictions?
I never understood the wringing of hands and nashing of teeth to get more people in CT anyway. The kind of people this set-up appeals to find the arena, the hardcore MA types, are not now or ever will be attracted to the CT style, nor should we condem them for it. It's what they like, leave them alone and don't worry about it. Besides how many times has a beligerant guy from MA come into the CT arena raising hell, and insulting everyone on chnl1, and some of you guys want more of that?
If the CT goes down, that'll prob do it for my AH time, I don't see waiting for every half hour so I can fly a mission I'm not even interested in being a reason for me to stay, and flying MA.................. ehhhhh Nope!

Assuming the numbers in the mission arean (MT) are reasonable (50-60 at 9:00pm PST) my preference will be to fly there instead of the MA.  I don't see it as changing my prefence for the CT though.  Said another way, my preferences will be "1:CT, 2:MT, 3:MA" rather than "1:MT, 2:CT, 3:MA"

I dont know lowe, I think the MT may be quite a bit of fun.  I am really in it for the realism, and sitting around for half an hour bsing waiting for the next mission, the build up, the potential for 'real' situations seems like a win win to me.  I am willing to fly any plane if I can do things like the next tod on a regular basis.  I kinda hope they shut the ct for a little while when they start the mt, that would force all of us to go over there and check it out, thus giving it good numbers, good pilots, and attracting some of the same out of the ma.

my 2 cents.

I hope the CT is still around.   With more plane matchups and an expanding number of terrains, and squads willing to fly there,
I'm still hoping the CT is just starting to turn the corner.

There's alot planned for the Mission Theater that sounds appealing, but I definitely want to be able to fly with my squad.    I'm not sure how the wait between mission times will cramp my AH flying.   I usually pop on and off at irregular times, except for squad nights.
