I was trailing Fester at about 2k, co-e, both of us in 262s. He was running for friendlies so I thought "blow it, he can go". I then did a lazy immelman. As soon as I started to reverse, Fester did a tight immelman, leaving him about 3000ft lower but with about 100mph more speed. I looked back and saw him at less than 1k after I completed my reversal and though "how the heck did he do that"? I spiralled down and started a rolling scissors but Fester got in a single ping on a snapshot and the 30mm did the rest of the talking. I had to view the film to work out how he'd done it... Like I said, learnt it the hard way.
