« on: April 27, 2000, 11:17:00 AM »
Hi all,

yesterday i was woundet in my pony and after a few moments got the tunnel vision , then total black out. After several seconds vision was back.
This repeated several times on my way back to airbase (crashed while landing;-(   )
Well, this is really a nice feature now.

Thx to AH staff, great work as ever

Wounding effect made very good.

Seems it is random how long you can fly when you are wounded. Only thing I want to ask is to mark somehow the wound you got to know if it is light or deadly. With light you can try to make it home, with heavy you need to land asap. My point is that it is impossible now to FEEL how close you to die.

Sakai made plane back while wounded, very famost story. Will be nice to have possibility to "making it home" while wounded even from a very big distances.

Hmmm we could add "blood" to the ordinance selector then hit backspace until "bld" is in window and watch your pints drop.

I remember a story about a Polish flier who joined the RAF and subsequently served with the 56th Fighter Group flying P47s.

One, flying a Hurricane in a ding-dong battle against 3 109's, he shot down two of them, ran out of ammunition and intentionally rammed the third.  Badly wounded, he set course back for England and fainted in the cockpit.

The Hurricane continued its gentle glide back to Britain, with the unconscious pilot at the controls, making an almost perfect ditched landing only 200 yds from the front door of a local hospital.

Hmmm, now what was his name.... Michael Gladych?

Hmm the pilot wound effect is quite elaborate take a look at what happened when i hit "control B" in flight.
