In reviewing frame 3 logs, I found the following

Either someone's script isn't working right or something else is happening. :)

didnt the bostons fly in formation? theres 3 of umm. you got 1 other guy got 2.


Looks like pappy got there first and you finished up whats was left of jedediis formation.

Unless theres something I am missing????

I was unaware formations were enabled during TOD.  I saw no formations of buffs.

OTOH, that would sure answer the question. :)

yeah bostons also give the a20 icon so when see a lone one you figure thats its aa20g. a20gs cant fly formations but bostons can.

I didnt see any bostons the whole event but I did see b17s in formation as well as our ju88s.

Jededi is in 880 FAA and yes we were flying Boston formations.  Most of us lost our AI wingmen.  Five minutes after takeoff we were intercepted by a couple of high 190s and lost the 2 wingmen taking evasive actions.  One one pilot retained his formation, the rest pressed on to the target as single planes.  So from this point there was only one pilot that had his formation intact, which explains why you didn't see any formations later in the frame.
