Veterans Day
« on: November 11, 1999, 09:36:00 AM »
If everyone, during the course of the day, could take a moment out to remember those who have so unselfishly laid down their lives for our country and the freedoms we enjoy today.
From the Civil War to Desert Storm.....

<SALUTE>

Let us also remember the original incarnation of Veterans Day was Armistice Day. On 11-11-1918 at 1100 hours is when the guns fell silent and the Great War was ended.

 Just a suggestion. Last year my youngest daughter came up to me and wished me a happy veterans day. (Viet Nam vet). This was the first time anyone had ever done this, and I was supprised by how much it ment to me.

 If you know a vet, I suggest you call them up and  do the same thing.
