I guess I was just off by 100 - it's a SdKfz 251, again can't tell the subtype because you can't see what it carries.

The front is all wrong for either 250 or 251 series, in the 251/250 the engine cover slopes to the side of the hull.

I am thinking it might me the Japanese one but until I get the book out I cannot be sure

Developed in 1941, in service 1943.

hmm not sure ,but it realy loks like no german

sdkfz got diferent track, same for demag and maultier, and check the camo schema , not german that sure , probably some  east europe thingy
