I played a game called Tanarus back in the day, which was futuristic tank combat, with a similar arena format to AH.  They had a bounty system built into the game.  The more points a player scored on a streak, the more his bounty was worth.  When you killed a player, you got his bounty added to your score, and your bounty increased as well.  It made for some great bounty hunts which livened up the typical arena combat.  You'd get everybody in the arena going after one guy, while his teammates tried to protect him.  Needless to say, this opened up the opponents to counterattack in the strat department.

It's not necessarily intuitive. You have to register here first:

The only difference between a hunter and a trophy is... The trophy doesnt earn bounty points he just gives them out... if you are a hunter, why would you want to be a trophy?

If you set it up so that the most prolific hunters were also the most valuable bounties, you would have the makings of a really cool contest.

If you think about it, the only way to determine how good a bounty hunter is... is to see how many bounties hes collected... thus the more bounties.. the more his 'head' is worth... the way the system is designed... your cool contest just  emerged.

I'd like to see rank factored in with plane type in perks awarded.

I just registered as well :D  This is going to be something to see what comes out of it :-)

Do vulches count? I didn't see anything about vulches in the rules.

Vulching is the only way I can get kills

So how exactly are we going to know we kill a bounty if the group gets real big? You say we need to hit some sort of macro and what not, but I think if many people do this, I don't think Ill remember who is or is not a bounty.

Can we cut out the beginning of the films to help keep size down? I know ya need to see the end to see if we die or land, but the beginning doesn't matter right?

Trophy CPID:
Snailio
fester
AKNimitz
Voss
AKcurly
kappa
leviathn
Whels
HiTech

One fine list of pilots there, except I've never seen Snailio before.

I will get him to fly.... And remember.... maybe giving the pilots that rarely fly a higher bounty...   Harder to find...   A good bounty hunter will know when and where, if he does decide to fly :)
