TV Spots on History channel ?
« on: September 07, 2000, 09:14:00 AM »
Little birdy told me that HiTech said last night in Main that Aces High would be featured in commercials on History Channel.
Is this true ? Any of you guys seen this in Main ?

If it's true, i think its the best marketing move any fligth sim company made in years and might mean a boom in number of accounts for HTC.

Wow, that'd be sooo cool to have AH commercials running before, in breaks, and after stuff on WWII

"Victory 10 by StSanta"

Everyone will know me, and think I am the greatest.

OTOH

"StSanta: TORQUE you &&(( jerk, you /)%/%¤&¤ shtot me down in a %/() HO!"
"Touque: <finger>"

That would be sorta cool too

Yeh, hopefully this would spread the message. When are the commercials due?

Then they'd see that you're in a 109 G10, Uber plane of AH, and discount all your kills.

I think I heard it from the same birdie fdski.

I'd like to see how this works out. Would really be cool to see aces high on that big an advertising venue. HTC better have the servers ready. No telling how many downloads that would generate in just the first 30 minutes after the commercial ran. History Channel is shown internationally right? Wonder if hes speaking of an add that would cover the whole coverage area, or several local market area adds.

HT, please include a line like... "PC compatible joystick is a must" or us trainers will be in for a helluva adventure.

This would be a good line too...

"Imagine flying around the virtual WW2 skies with such famous aces as Udie!"

I communicate fairly Regularly with Bruce Gamble, who wrote "Black Sheep Squadron, VMF-214," and his new book "Black Sheep One, The Life of Gregory Boyington" should probably be added to the Hog Drivers Christmas list for this year.  He can be seen commenting sometimes on The History Channel on Sunday mornings when they show re-runs of "Black Sheep Squadron."

I could send a message and ask him to see if Sander VanOcher(sp?) could get THC to run the commercial during that time.  Of course if it is I would hope that the Icon reading "Downtown" could somehow be shown perhaps shooting down, Citibria, Hblair, Torque, or Udie.

I am also availible for testimonials.

"Hello, I fly Aces High, I love it very much, it was much better than Cats. I will see it again and again, tell all your friends."

Hit discovery wings, too (probably cheaper and even narrower target audience).  I need some good novice pilots so I can start getting kills agin

hi all:

that would be to cool.
hey HT, why not talk to Zigrat and have him put together a jabo mission that can be aired, you could talk to soom Rooks or Bishops, but they still think a jabo is some kind of food served on a stick or something.
