See Sabres interview with Hitech (there was a post in the General Discussion some time back). The types are not in use yet.

Barrier is an object that can not be destroyed.

Structure, is an object with no point value but can be destroyed by any country. Ment for use with stuff like bridge where it might be needed to blow your own bridge.
