I love the Norway map. I always have a lot of pleasure flying it.

On a down note, I'm sorry to see all those spitfires. It's not too much fun to fight versus a cloud of spitfire. Do CMs really have to recreate the MA in the CT?

I wished to give my opinion about that, otherwise, I always enjoyed the CT, ty for your effort.:D

What's wrong with Spitfires (Seafires) in a Great Britain vs Germany setup?

Whether you run into spitfires or not this week kinda depends on where you're fighting... as I understand it the allies have 3 cv Task Groups, each with 1 fighter type available per cv (spit, f4u, f6f).  So if that's the cv in the area you're gonna see a lot of spits.  All types are available at land bases and it's been my experience of seeing a pretty good mix from the land bases.

Dennis, pay more attaention to my post pls, I'm not talking about BOB map.

Soulyss, I wished I encountered the same setting. Alas, when I logged in CT last week, it was always to find about 8 spitfires and 2 typhies harrassing 4 LW dudes trying to climb above 4k    (dramatization) :p.

You can always take time to go from an another base to at least enjoy 2 or 3 passes in the "spit cloud" before you have to run trailing ... you guested it, a cloud of spit AND a typhoon. The typhoon being the one who may catch up with you forcing you to turn, while the spits are scavenging your ubber LW ride (dramatization episode 2) :D

not whining, but you guys got the point. :D

Neither am I.
This week's setup is Great Britain vs Germany.  You'll find that detail in the "Norway '44" MOTD.

S!

If someone has Typhoon, that means they took the time to fly it all the way from the Orkney's to a land base in Norway, refueled it, and then took off again.   They are not available on captured Norweigian bases.

Plus I would say that a 190A5 or 109G6 should be able to handle a Seafire IIC.   They are both faster and climb better.  (although I was surprised to find a Seafire out spiraling a 109G6 I was flying at 20k)

Finally,  the British Fleet Air Arm was equipped with Corsairs and Hellcats in late 1943.  They conducted their first major action versus the German Battleship Tirpitz which was anchored in a Norweigean  Fjord.
