Was great fun.......

Sry to Skyfoxx who I vulched at a15. There was an la5 that ran to ack from p18. Heinkel and I followed him there and he hid in ack. Heinkel got killed chasing him by the ack and Brady reported he was hit and killed by 88 at p18.

Frustrated I deacked and killed the la5 at a15. I was rtb when I spotted you. I had hoped to fight but you kept going. I figured you needed refuel and went back to a15. Found you just landing.

So I popped you.

Out of the 10 guys I expected to to be there for tod in my squad 5 showed.

1 discoed
1 got killed by 88 at 17k
1 got killed chasing a guy through the ack.

The last guy had his fuel hit early on and had keep his dt the whole frame.

I think we got 8-10 kills. I think I got 5........

S! to every one it was great fun................

Well I don't know about the hiding in the ack part cause I never saw it fire once at an enemy aircraft and once I got to 15 I landed asap as I knew I was alone and damaged and in no shape to fight.
But yes that was me trying to rtb damaged, turned short final, landed and was just typing .ef when boom!, dead on the runway.
Nothing much to add, except, "paybacks are a squeak".

Was a tough fight. I must say I do like the Stalingrad terrain.

56th FG flying as JG 56 "Die Uberkrugflieger" bagged a *bunch* of LA-5s with our FW190A8s.  The LA5s were out to get us, but we got lucky.  We even accomplished our mission of hitting the train depot north of Stalingrad.  We lost 2 of ours, but Ammo, Frenchy, Nomde, and myself all made it back to base safely.  Was a very fun TOD. :D
