Sorry 'bout Last Night, fellow Rooks

Yes, I got carried away.

Every country has their ups and downs, and last night wasn't definately an 'upside' for Rookland. Usually, getting no help from other people just fighting in a furball doesn't tick me off much..

But after being shot down again and again and again and again with my squaddies down south in an attempt to defend, and losing about 3 fields straight with almost with no help from guys stationed at center Isle.. well the fuse just broke there.

Millions of thoughts passed through my puny brain, and when the thought got there how we were getting gangbanged even when we had good numbers, I started to somehow blame the 'strat-impared'ness of fellow Rooks for my unfortunate defense attempts.. burst into anger and logged off.

:( I hope newcomers to Rookland don't get too much of a bad impression.. Shi* happens, and it just happened to me yesterday..

Apologies once more.. I'll try to stay calm and cool..   :(

NP Kweassa, I've taken a couple months off and last night was getting to me.

Between the runway deaths due to whatever was going on with the server and the usual One Rook per grid except for the 97 at the local furball base strategy it got a bit frustrating.

Thinking about a realignment but if the Bishops make me wear that pointy hat forget it.

It's the same with all the countries.  Sometimes everyone just feels like furballing and 90% of the country is in one place and no one is actually trying to take the field they are fighting over.  For some reason there is also certain place on each map which take away all rational thought in an attempt to take.  These places generally have no real strategic value but for some reason hold the fascination of about half the country at any given time.  On N-D Isles it seems to be the center island.  On Mindinoa is is A44.

For what it's worth, you Rooks did an incredible job of holding out on the P21/A19/A18 island down south last night. We had ten Lancs with escorts that cruised back and forth over those three bases in an attempt to help our fellow Knights take them, but you guys frustrate every attempt for quite a while.  Eventually we took P21 and sank its CV.  When it reappeared under our control, we had two CV groups pounding away and a score of planes.  You held out a good while, actually driving the fight out to sea. Finally, my entire squad upped in CHogs from the CV and drove the fight back over A19 and established a CAP. With others interdicting your reinforcements from A18, we finally got LVT's in to the town and took A19. That's when I logged off.

Salute, to the valient Rook defenders of the Southern Island. Nice fight.

My High School Shop teacher had a saying
"Everyone can be a jerk once a month, any more than that and you being out of line"

Good Words,
Everyone has an off day now and then.

Dont sweat it.

So sun... Are you saying that 97 out of about 105 rooks prefer "furballing" to mindless capture the flag?   If so.. I agree.

Kweasa:

I wasn't up at the time but, I know the feeling. Strat impairedness was an impression I had long before the new AW blood joined us. I took a couple of weeks away and got myself corrected. Now I simply log off  :) The MA is gonna be there when I get back  :)
We can all do a lot better with more cooperation with each other but, this isn't something that just happens, it develops. I'm looking forward to it when it does. There are mnay of our new former AW contrymen whom I flew with in AW, and they knew how to get it done in spite of odds. When these guys get comfy in AH we're gonna see a lot more wins and fewer defeats. When this happens, we will also see a lot more "cooperation" between our nmez to deal with us  :)
