I believe that bounder is talking about.... a .22 cal pellet rifle.   We really need to send little tommy over there with his junior grade 10/22 ruger.

I have a 1917 smith in .45 that has been to england twice and sent back after the wars were over (can't trust subjects with firearms after the crises you know) It has two sets of british proof marks.....  hope they don't beg to have it again in light of the squirrel menace....  I'm keeping it this time.   let em stay indoors and shiver or... sharpen up some hoe handles.

Now I have that thought going through my head every time I see this thread pop up in the message board topics listings.

"...beating off American Invaders..." kind of has a whole new meaning, now.

"The Grey Squirrel is an American species and is well known (in spite of reports to the contrary) to have a very aggressive and belligerent nature."

Yes.  And easily trained.  Injoy the squirrels

my dog hates the squirles in our yard.  when she was a pup I would give rib-eye bones left over from steaks.  one day I hear the dog barking up a storm, and squirles chattering (laughing) away.  I go out back and the squirles have stolen the bones and hung them on branches in the tree, then laughed at the dog as it pissed her off.

Best way to kill them is a 10/22 with a scope.

22-250 with a 24x scope works nicely, also adds a nice "poof" to the end results:eek:

The mind boggles trying to work out what BBS search was used to drag this old chestnut of a thread up.

LOL Brits can't tell the difference between a squirrel and a raccoon.

*hint* If it is gnashing it's teeth and foaming at the mouth... just reach out and pet that stripped squirrel.  It's a sign of affection.
