When you've been on AH for too long...
« on: November 14, 2002, 10:04:10 AM »
It's prolly happened before, but now it's happened to me...

So there I am, it's late at night, I'm flying high in a Lame 7 and I'm dying to be a dweeb and do some theraputic furballing.

I get in a few scraps then there's a lull.  And now I find this guy low to my 2 oclock.  Not near a base, no dot on dar, so he's probably unfriendly.

So I dive.

And I dive.

And I dive.

I'm screaming at him and the s.o.b. is still an unrecognizeable dot at my 2.  I punch wep, and I'm goin and goin and still I can't catch him.

I'm sayin to myself "This *@#% is either a glitch or a cheater!"
And I get all worked up and ticked off when the wings come off my LA-7.

Now, I'm back in the tower, foaming at the mouth, when I see the dot's still there.

So I clean the dot off the monitor, and I kick myself for freaking out about a speck on a monitor, in a harmless game, and I go get some sleep.

It's just a game.  It's just a game.  It's just a game.

I haven't gone quite that far...but I have chased a dot on my screen around on a few ocassions before realising that it is just dirt...this usually happens when one of the kids has been near the monitor.:D

I was in a furball in "the other game" ;) and there was a gnat buzzing around the computer screen.  I was busy, so I didn't pay it much attention.  Then, all the sudden, it dove down in front of the screen and then straight at my face.  It was like the game suddenly went 3d on me.

I think I let out a small scream and almost fell out of my chair.

Hehe, welcome Corrupto, your in good company!  Dune will be here soon, he just doesn't know it yet ;)

I actually fell asleep at the stick in "the other sim" when I was doing a late night bottle feeding with my first son in my lap, had my hands full, put her on auto pilot for climb out, awoke an hour later with a sleep baby, empty bottle, and a view from the tower. :D

Well my experience has been just the opposite.  I've had a dot chase me around a few times until Curval comes along and clears my six! ;)

Crashed a bomber doing that, trying to turn away from it..
