Isn't that a mudslide in CA? :)

makes you wonder what they are thinking .... they must have slept through that last election.

Do they think a far, far left liberal, a CA far far left lib can "lead" their party to a majority in the house? It's was their liberal rantings/agenda that cost them last Tuesday.

It's a happy day for the Republicans :)

Now we're faced with two parties focused on the fringe of America. Great.

Now I'll be the first to say I don't know much about Pelosi. I gather she's radical left, based on the postings here.

OTOH, do you really view Bush as radical right? I hardly think so... in fact, he's alienated himself from many hardcore conservatives for being too middle.

Let's see....

Tax breaks for the very rich...

Tax money for religious organizations...

Anti-abortion judges...

Elimination of due process...

Environmental regulation written by industry...

Privatization of Social Security...

Union busting for "national security"...

Yeah, I guess GW is pretty much middle of the road.

"Tax breaks for the very rich... "  Tax breaks for those who pay taxes.

"Tax money for religious organizations... "  How so?

"Anti-abortion judges... "  Judges who understand the constitution

"Elimination of due process... "  How so?

"Environmental regulation written by industry... "  Written by people who know the issues, not latte drinkers from Berkley.

"Privatization of Social Security... "  The only chance to save it.

"Union busting for "national security"... "  Not letting 15% of the workforce call all the shots.

"Yeah, I guess GW is pretty much middle of the road."  He was until Pelosi took over the House Dems, now he is right of center.

Popeye.

Tax breaks for the very rich...
If you pay 10K in taxes and I pay 1K and we both get a 10% tax cut of course you will get a bigger return.  Everybody got a tax cut.

Tax money for religious organizations...
All nature of non-profs get tax money.

Anti-abortion judges...
Has yet to happen, if it does it does.  Pro-abortion judges sit there now.  The only debate right now orbits around partial birth abortion.

Elimination of due process...
Interesting debate about that.  Military combatants or common criminals?  I lean towards military combatant, different rules, as set out by a Supreme Court appointees under a democratic administration during the ww2 era.

Environmental regulation written by industry...
I'm a tree hugger from way back.  Neither party has done more or less than the other here.

Privatization of Social Security...
The "option" is what they are looking for.  You can opt in or opt out, choice.  Choice you support for abortion, why not support choice for your retirement?  Check out Galveston TX retirement plan, only one in US also the most successful.

Union busting for "national security"...
The only thing I can think of here is the Homeland Security debate.  Employees have all the rights and recourse like everybody else.  Unions are good, sometimes they get a bit full of themselves (ie forcing your dues to go the democratic party).

Yeah, I guess GW is pretty much middle of the road.
No, he leans to the right, if he leaned to the left would you make the same statement?
