CTD's are back for me
« on: November 16, 2002, 05:06:49 PM »
I have enjoyed two full months without Crashes to desktops. Looks like it's over I've had 4 CTDs today in the MA. all four happened around Lanc or B17's exploding.

I'll launch the film tomorrow (I understand there's a crash recording log in there for you to use).

I haven't changed a thing in my setup for weeks (apart from virus definition updates, I have installed no software).

will update the info

Celeron 1.7Ghz
256MB DDR
(trying to find mobo info, I forgot now)
Gforce3 GTS (40.72WHQL)
Sblive (Liveware 3.0 (07/2002))
EncoreDX2 DVD(drivers out of the box)
...

PS: Darn I goofed again, ment to post this in HW forum... if a moderator would be kind enough to move it :)

Are you saying there is a connection between the squad folder (Squad icons) and the CTD's?

If there is a corrupt bmp file in the squad folder, it might cause CTDs.
At least, mine/Fester's one was it.

Squads deleted. We'll see. Not holding out much hope. Would sure be nice to hear some input from HTC on this issue, the silence is still deafening.
