Yeah I was impressed by suse too, and there are distros that are 'better' for hardcore usage.  The reason I am sticking with RH 8 though is the Microshaft like auto updater.  RH keeps track of my system profile and emails me whenever an update for a package or a bug fix comes out.  I just click a button on my desktop and it updates it all.  Very smooth.  That was the problem I had before, since I run it only as a monitoring system I rarely pay attention to it.  I am busy guy and cant keep up on the latest hacks and vulnerabilities.  As it is I only have 2 ports open (apache and ssh) and still little punks are constantly trying to crack it open.
