lol, All I had was a crushed right foot. Its ok although its painfull almost everyday. I still fly 3 to 4 hours daily.
I had $25,000 invetsed (did all work myself) but the airplane was valued at about $50,000. I friend of mine had the G model prototype restored not long aftetr I finished mine. He had $86,000 invetsed and insured for $86,000 less $1,000 deductable. They say when it rains it poors, out of the 26 some G models left, 4 were lost in a two year period, three from vapor lock and one from pilot heard attack (the prototype)-1 fatality. The insurance company only wanted to insure mine for recipt total cost of restoration. I did not keep very many recipts so I was having a problem insuring it for what it was worth...anyway, this was suppose to be the first of only two flights left untill I could get insurance for it. The other flight was a ferry flight to where I now live...it never made it
I logged 26 hours in it and received one trophy. Best Antique, Thomasville, Ga Fly-In 1994.
