Having a refuel pad next to a runway threshold sounds like a safety issue. The pad should be away from any active runway, maybe seperate arming and fueling pads.

Also, planes should only spawn in empty hangers or revetments and have to taxi to the runway, and friendly collisions on the ground should be on , and we need a automatic ATC to announce the active runway.

Shacks were at the end of runways.  Always have been and always will be.  That in and of itself is a moot point.

Regardless of where you put the rearming pad, there should be a shack there (afterall, where do the troops doing the hot turn hangout?).  Regardless of where you put it, people will run into the building because they have to taxi near to it.

You know the limitation.  You know the location.  Miss it next time.  Or... just exit and get a new plane.

I think that if you want to "hot rearm", you should be made to taxi to the hangar (if there is one).  Betcha NO ONE goes for this idea!

Checksix, with your intellect you should find a nice home in the CounterStrike or Quake arenas.

Dejapoo... what will they think of next?
You have hours of brainstorming ahead of you Checksix, best get to work!

Ah.. no need to step in wulfie.  Checksix is just another "personna" for a pilot afraid to actually stand behind his posts.  Seems this one is dedicated to slamming me in his posts.  So far he's 3:3.

I do find it funny how he thinks my post merrits comment amongst all of these.

I dunno about the re-arm pad, but that outhouse has to be in the WORST place in the world    One thing's for certain, you've got a great view and plenty of room for the poor place to air out after!

Anybody notice that taxiing seems a little strange though with how the aircraft turns.  It seems to almost slide around corners from an outside view (like on a bomber or goon).  I bumped a building once this way, when I turned away the aircraft appeared to slide even though I was barely moving.

The outhouse is in the perfect position. Think about it. You're sitting in there, squeezing one out - when out of the blue a B-17G comes crashing onto the runway with two engines on fire, and a C-Hog is close behind, spraying 20mm howitzers at it with glee. Your "business" on the toilet would be all done in 2 seconds flat!!

PS: LOL, AG!

You know crash realism is way off! You run a rearmed fighter threw a depot full of Bombs, rockets, jado pods and a mass quantity of fuel? Flying the thing should be the least of your problems hehe "wink"

I dont think you did understand it   He was not complaining about not being able to fly his plane after that. He was complaining about the whole plane exploding and him being killed. Why didnt the wingtip just get damaged or just the wing get ripped off??? After that he could have taxied back to runway and exited the plane.

Or was it just a chance that his refuelled plane just happened to leak out the fuel and get a sparkle from the wing scraping the shed??? Can the collision with a shed also cause just some minor damages in some other situation??? Was he just unlucky this time? Or is this a mater of damage modelling?

Maybe if he had been in a F4U he would have been all right??    (109s cannot fly with wing damage.. F4U can)
