More joystick buttons in XP (ctrl+btn)?

Hi

Is it possible to use key + button combination in XP and AH?
I have CH F-16 combat stick + ch throttle (dos based, doesn't work in XP) + ch pro rudders. Because my throttle doesn't work in XP, I thought if it could be possible to get more buttons by using ctrl or alt with joystick buttons?

I assume that you do all of your button programming within AH.  If this is so, I do no believe that AH makes allowance for key modifiers under the stick mapping.

If you can get the stick to output a key stroke, such a G for gear, then you could do this under keymapping.
