That doesnt look like real fire, or a real flag, the pic looks edited, and if it were real I very very seriously doubt the flames would be that big, unless he's got a mini flame thrower or somethin.

fabric tends to burn with more thicker, blacker smoke

Yes, it looks almost wet in the first picture, I thought it was soaked in flammable liquid to begin with. As for the whole flag burning thing, check my quote below, I think it's sad we have people in America who do this, there has to be a better way to get the point across.
