"You better watch it, or we'll start ANOTHER world war"Oh yeah, you guys are good at "starting" them!
(Hee-hee, couldn't resist...too easy!
)
No Dowding, for some reason "banana" and "tosser" aren't used a lot here in the US. Probably due to the fact that US guys are more attractive to women, better lovers, and the women are a lot prettier too, so it's easy for us to get dates with the opposite sex, as opposed to you UK types.
<rim shot...badda-boomp.>
But seriously folks, drive safely and tip your waitresses. I'll be here through Sunday, and then at Lee's Lounge and Steak-a-teria next week.
No, I don't know why we don't frequently use those terms. I guess calling someone a jack-off or a jerk-off is more prevelant.
Personally, I think banana sounds more fun. Tosser is kind of good too, because it makes me think of "toss-pot", what people used to empty into the streets from their upstairs living quarters in days gone by.
I also use s***head a lot too. I think s***head can really be a good descriptor of someone's personality at times.
Any further q's on US slang use or non-use, just run'em past me old boy.
My father teaches English, but you'd never know it from talking to me!
