NK is prime example of what will happen when every two bit dictator (errr president for life) gets a nuke. Threats, blackmail and extortion until they get what they want. That normally means money from the west.

north korea has every right to pull out of the nuclear nonproliferation treaty - we havent held up our end of it, so non nuclear weapon states have no need to hold up their end

Nuclear Nonproliferation Treaty Article VI commits the Nuclear Weapon States to "pursue negotiations in good faith on effective measures relating to cessation of the nuclear arms race at an early date and to nuclear disarmament, and on a treaty on general and complete disarmament under strict and effective international control."

japan can get out when ever they want too - i'm sure sonys japanese unit would build a bomb & sell it to the japanese .gov in a few months
