« on: January 15, 2003, 01:52:35 PM »
Dear LW Pilots,

III./JG2 LW Fighter Squadron has gone through some major changes and is looking for LW Pilots to join the squadron.  The squadron flies on the ROOK side.. The Squadron will be flying four types of planes as a whole. BF109G-2, BG109G-6, FW190a-5 and FW190-d9.

The Squadron will be modeled after one of the most famous fighter squadrons during WW2, ( Jagdgeschwader 2 "Richthofen").

The Squadron flys in two arena, the Main and in the CT arena. The squadron leader always flys on Sunday at approximately 10:00 am EST.

If you like to Fly 109s and FW190s,  please post your message here or email me at giggy@3-jg2.com .....:)

The site is going through some changes and updates. That could be why it is not coming up. Thanks for the heads up. :)

Hail Giggy!       There are some of us in the squad still out there  flying.....  alone. As a veteran of modest abilities I am looking for a wingman.  Are there any new pilots who would really like to learn to fly LW planes?   Deep in your heart, don't you  REALLY want to fly a 109?  Would you take special pride in shooting down a Tempest in a Stuka?   Do all those guys in La-7's and N1K1's drive you insane?    Do you  LIKE cleaning off B-17 parts from the windshield of your A-8?   This may be the squad for you.

Well,  we have half a Rotte anyway!

If anyone can answer this question correctly they deserve to be a member of this squad:

The  "Play-Tex Maneuver" is:

A.   When your wife throws a baby bottle at you for playing AH too much

B. A Six G turn after a roll out that causes loss of bladder control

C.  A  wing tactic in which two planes are in line 1200 yards apart.  Upon initial contact with a bogie the first plane starts a spiral climb   drawing the bogie up and setting up the kill for the second,  using the concept " Lift and Separate."

          Any takers?

You may have to be over 40 to answer this one correctly since it relies on an "extinct"  TV ad campaign slogan.....

We appreciate Heinkel's vote of confidence.  We can only hope to carry on the in the tradition of those who flew before.   We may not make the number one squad rating as we did with Wotan and wetrat, but it will be fun.

Answer is : C.

This may not be possible for those pilots who identify  the Beatle's as Paul McCartney's first group......

Hey Giggy.

check out this thread at

http://www.hitechcreations.com/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=78671

I'd like to find a squad that can help me out in the 190, and in 109s sometime down the road.  Lemme know if you're still looking for pilots.
