Checked my ping to MA (don't know how to check it vs. CT) and the graph showed approx. 50-70ms or so with no variance. Pretty solid.

Same exact thing happened to me earlier in the day, and I made the same mistake. Zero was about 1k back, I was very fast and started a shallow climb..zero closed to D700 or so and whammo...no rudder. I bravely turned tail and fled. I asked him about it and he says he was closer to me on his FE (around 350-400) than I was to him on mine.

And that's why ya ner seen a unicorn TA THIS VERY DAY!!! I was close enought to read his skin mag in his cockpit...(.)(.) And BOY did he gets away quick! (I kept the rudder as a souviner)

yeah, i guess the net coding isn't as balancing as it used to be... for the discrepancies between us (i'm usually around 90-100ms) i'd expect around 50 yds between what we see, not 300-350.

all the ips to thevarious game servers show up on the ping screen.. if you click on CT an dthen the ping details button, teh ip will show up.. it's same as MA except last two #'s are 38 not 37.

what ip did you ping?

its speed dependent as well...


if 'very fast' was over 350.. I don't doubt a variation of 300 is possible....

At least it was in AW3..

As speeds drop the variation is reduced
