Looking to join a squad
« on: February 12, 2003, 12:56:33 PM »
After a particularly embarassing night in the MA yesterday, I've figured out what I've been missing in AH.  Teamwork.  I've been thinking about joining a squad for a while, but I'm not too familiar with the specifics of individual AH squads.  So I figure the best way to get in touch with a squad would just be to put up a flag and see who responds.

A bit about myself and AH preferences:

-Would like to get good in the 190A-5.  I usually fly 190s for offensive missions, and spit Vs for base defense.  I'd prefer a squad that has experienced 190 drivers.
-I usually play Thurs-Sun, but I could play pretty much any day except Mondays.
-Want to be part of a team, whether that means 2 pilots or 20.
-I want to learn while having fun.
-I currently fly Rooks, but I wouldn't mind changing teams.
-I consider myself a slightly better than mediocre pilot.
-Someday I'd like to try some special events/CT flying.
-Other plane interests include (in approx order): 109s (does that make me a LW pilot?), P47s, P38s, P51s, and F4Us.
-I've had an account for about 4 months and intend to keep it for a long time.  I played H2H on and off since november of 2000.

If I sound like a pilot that might fit into your squad, please email me or post a message here.

Hello, -=MW=- is looking for dedicated pilots of all skill level. We would love to add a few dedicated bomber pilots to our ranks and we are always looking for fighter pilots. We are an aggressive attack squadron (not to be confused with a pork squad  ) and while our goals may or may not be to win the reset war-it IS always to win the engagements we go into.

Tarmac Giggy is Great guy and is Co. of III./JG 2 "Richthofen" and they are currently recuiting.

Heres his web page..

http://www.3-jg2.com/

Also JV44 "The Platzschutzstaffel" ; "The Wuerger-Staffel" maybe recruiting. They are looking to keep their squad small, under 10 guys or so. They are a 109d9 squadron but fly a variety of lw planes.

A little background.

Back under my former nic wotan. AG formed JV44 "The Platzschutzstaffel" and I joined. Our ranks grew beyond the historic size of the squad. We then hooked up with minus and all those in JV 44 formed 3./JG 2. I took on CO duties. Our ranks swelled to 22. Giggy was a member of 3./JG 2.

I quit AH, AG left 3./JG 2 and reformed JV44 "The Platzschutzstaffel" and Giggy reformed 3./JG 2 as III./JG 2.

Both of these squads have members that were in 3./JG 2.

I came back to ah as batz and decided that I would focus on flying just the 109.

I formed 4./JG 53 'Pik As'. My squad just flies the 109, in particular the g6. We mainly fly 2 nights a week. Wednsdays and Sundays. We look to fly the 109 as correctly as possible and we have little interest in field capture, bombers , gvs etc........

We have room if you are looking for something this "narrow". If not contacty giggy. Hes a great guy and those guys fly variety of lw planes.

My email is in my sig as well as a link to my webpage.

Good luck.

Tarmac, Nightmares fly Rook, your welcome to fly with us for a while to see if it's a good fit :).  I fly the A5 as well, but I'm not very good at it ;).  Our website is in my signature line, check it out for Squad activities and more details about joining.  If you want to drop me an e-mail, it's dawg898@fuse.net.  Or just tune 165, Hail a Nightmare, and see where we are flying!

Cya Up!

Hey check out ~~THE UNFORGIVEN~~ we fly Bish land a great group of guys and El Guapo for kicks. Check out my recruiting page. On squadron message board:p

~~THE UNFORGIVEN~~ Recruiting
Looking for some pilots with a good attitude and sense of humor that would like to join a squad that has been around for a long time.

I would like to develop the squad “as a highly respected squad”. What it takes to achieve this standard is a group of people that like to have fun and get the job done. The group of people we are looking for is someone that is mature and has a good attitude and a great sense of humor. We don’t care about skill level just the ability to work together as a group . As a squad we share our skills with one another helping to develop all as a team. There is no compitition amongst our selves nor is there rank. We all work together as equals. Binger and Sever1 will be part of the leadership team to help provide direction and build the squad.

So in closing if you have great sense of humor and the desire to have fun while working on a team contact me Vgas5150@LVCM.com. or just put a shout out to myself or any other squad members. BTW we fly Bishop between the hours 4pm-midnight pacific time you can fly anytime you want but that’s when the majority of our members fly.

Thanks for the replies everyone.  I've sent some emails out, hopefully I can try flying with some of you this weekend.

MwHUN - When does your squad usually fly?  I've got a couple questions... you think you could email me?  BB email addy is up to date.

Batz / Wotan - Thanks for the offer, but 109G-6s aren't what I'm looking for right now.  I would like to get in contact with a LW squad though.  I've been trying to get in touch with Giggy... if you happen to run into him, could you refer him here?

Again, thanks all.

And if anyone else thinks I'd fit in with their squad, feel free to post and I'll give you a try.

Tarmac look me up in the MA.  I fly under the callsign of AGJV44 for the knits.  JV44 Wurger-Staffel "aka Platzschutzstaffel" is our squad name and we always fly together along with Batz and his squad of JG53.  We believe in teamwork and we love the 190's, if you are flying rooks look up JG2 great bunch of guys and they are LW dweebs like us :)  BTW I am in MI as well.

Yep, got it Giggy.  My internet bit the dust Saturday night though (discoed with 2 kills, grr), and came back up just in time for me to fly with the 339th FG on Sunday night.  So there wasn't much AH playing for me that day.  I'll try to hook up with you this Sunday.

We don't ask that our pilots fly anything they don't want to. We have the total cross section of abilities from guys that have ranked #1 through to guys that are flying their first month and ages all over the place. We don't care how old you are or how good. We'll try and offer the most support we can and fly with one aim in mind. FUN.

We usually have 10+ pilots on during Sunday evening. It's probably the best time to catch us if you'd like to fly with us for a night. We are primarily a Bishop squadron.
