What pokie said. If you don't already have it go and grab winzip http://www.winzip.com. You can then right click on the .exe and choose 'open with winzip' . This circumvents the built in extraction. If you still have problems download it again. Sounds like a corrupt download.

i tried to open it as you suggested (with winzip itself), and it still crashed the system.  i can't figure it out.

is there anyplace to get the program in it's unzipped form?

It is not a single file.  It is made up of 14 files.

Try downloading this.

http://www.accesswave.ca/~tscott/AH-stuff/AH-Editor&Stuff/AKBmp2map/BMP2MAP.ZIP

Unzip it to a temp. folder and run the setup.exe

Were you able to unzip it to a temp file first with out crashing or did you only crash once you unzipped it and doubled clicked the setup.exe?

So you mean that as the winzip is unzipping it into the temp for and comes to the .exe you crash?

What version is your windows?

What version is your Winzip?

Do you happen to have WinRar?  Don't know if that would make a differences if I zipped it using it or not.

I don't know what would be happing???

Are any programs other than winzip running?  If so shut them down and try again.

Just thought about Virus Scanners also this program puts stuff into your registry.

You are the only one that I'm aware of that had a problem installing this program.
