Anybody actually able to beat AIs in level higher than "Average", in inferior planes than the AI uses??

 I don't think the AI is 'buffed up', using 'unrealistic performance' like it used to in IL-2.. but the problem is, incredibly, they know almost every tactic and moves to counter yours!! And they freakin' execute it with excellence.. no mistakes!

 Man, all the advanced techs.. such as high yo-yo countering, rolling scissors, suckering into a turn fight... The only way I could beat those AIs is by using better planes than they have.. !

 Boy did my ego take a hit! Beat by a digital brain..!

Well they are supposed to beat you. That is one of my little tiny probs with IL-2 past and it appears to be that way here in FB. The AI is infallable. Nothing you do will make them waver or hesitate for one tiny fraction of a second. On the other hand your wingmen in IL-2 would invariably go after the target that you were hunting and they would allow you to get hammered even after they responded to your calls for help. At least that is what I experienced. Still though I think IL-2 is the best flight sim (boxed) to happen in quite a while and it set the goal higher for all boxed sims to come later.

pffff there is a serious lack of homosexual references and name calling in those chat logs, i dont care if its just an ai. they should be laughing at you, running into bombers,ignoreing targets and killing their E so they can strafe chutes.just like in ah.

g10 me p51 ace ai 7000m (23k feet) I beat him pretty easy.

I have tracks as well.

They have moves they do over and over. At the merge if you get lower then the ai and slightly off to the right (his left)they will dive at you for a shot. You need to manuver a bit so you dont get hit but the ai will dive down to the left and circle around. After the ai misses if you go vert then roll back to your right you can see him all the way. The ai will then pull his nose up to chase you. All you need to do is reverse back down on him and fire. Be sure you dont collide.

The problem I have in FB is the 30mm. The take multiple hits and still can fly at max performance unless you hit their eng.

That el gay 7 in the pic above took 3 3cm hits. The p51 took 4. In the 51 pic that shows just a sec before hes blown to bits.

Would a P3 1Ghz,GF3 Ti500,520 ram be able to run FB at a reasonable rate?...Il2 runs good but heard FB is a system hog.

You may not be able to max out all the settings but even so  it should run smooth and look good all the same.

Hey, i downloaded the Demo of IL-2 and couldnt get the joystick to work... any suggestions, i installed and reinstalled  a few times, making sure every time to select the "use joystick" but every time i went into 'input' there was no way to enable it, only the mouse.
