By any chance are any of those rocks "tufa" rocks? Very light and pourus, they bring about $1-2 a pound in the saltwater aquarium trade.

Not likely... You're looking at the south eastern side of the Sierra Nevadas...

I live at approximately 735 meters... My guess is that these pictures aren't more than 825 meters...

3 degrees this morning with -2 wind chill. Todays high is low 20's.
and i work outside...but the suns out so i dont mind.

thinking of taking my 68 falcon back to work after lunch. she drives better in the cold anyways.
