Afgan POWs weren't treated according to the geneva convention either. Oh wait, they weren't even POWs, just weren't treated like capture civilians.

Not trying to compare anything, but crossing the line is crossing the line no matter how far.

WTF are you talking about?

all combatants captured in afgan have and are being treated in accordance with the geneva convention.

combatants as defined by this war on terror arent just uniformed taliban.

Go look it up.

The video showed that the captured soldiers were bandaged. That probably means that they are being treated very well so far.

Get ready for a hell of a fight fellas.  I thought they might fold early on.  Perhaps the axis powers have promised some sort of support thereby steeling the iraqi resolve.  In any event, I dont believe the outcome is in doubt but the path to it looks alot worse than I had hoped for.

Treated Well?  I assume you haven't noticed that the bodies of the dead americans they showed, appear to have been shot in the forehead? As in summary execution.

Summary execution? I doubt it. Alive prisoners are far more useful to the Iraqi propaganda machine than corpses.

I should think the Americans put up a fight but surrendered when it became apparent they were surrounded or over-powered. It's also highly possible they were ambushed, and those that died were killed in the initial contact. Who knows?

Either way, I think it's too early to draw any firm conclusions.

Saw the pictures and to me it looked like an execution.

Just a guess but I would think they were the ones that would not cooperate.

Ok Dowding, how do you interpret 4 dead US servicemen, all of apparent wounds to the forehead?  One or two killed in action this way would be inconclusive, but 4 ? The one other KIA was described to have wounds to the lower abdomen, which I would agree with your interpretation of.

I'm not making this up, check the news websites.

Can't remember the exact quotes but official oppinion was (maybe it has changed already) that not all combatants where granted POW status and therefore not entitled to treatement according to the geneva convention. (which contains two problems: denying POW status is a bit more difficult than just denying it to a group of people; also does the geneva convention grant rights to non-POWs).
