But the Generals ran the War
While his words hit the floor
Or else his big job would be long gone.

Oh dear! I hope this isn't a new trend lol

War! Never been so much fun. War! Never been so much fun! Go to your brother, Kill him with your gun, Leave him lying in his uniform, Dying in the sun.

A trained ape can know an awful lot
Of what is going on in this world,
Just by punching on his mouse
For a relatively modest cost!

I wont argue this.

However, after reading through these poems a horrifying question came to me:

Does the Secretary of Defense have launch code access?

a poor trite plagerism of:

1. THE EMBODIMENT OF TAO

Even the finest teaching is not the Tao itself.
Even the finest name is insufficient to define it.
Without words, the Tao can be experienced,
and without a name, it can be known.

To conduct one's life according to the Tao,
is to conduct one's life without regrets;
to realize that potential within oneself
which is of benefit to all.

Though words or names are not required
to live one's life this way,
to describe it, words and names are used,
that we might better clarify
the way of which we speak,
without confusing it with other ways
in which an individual might choose to live.

Through knowledge, intellectual thought and words,
the manifestations of the Tao are known,
but without such intellectual intent
we might experience the Tao itself.

Both knowledge and experience are real,
but reality has many forms,
which seem to cause complexity.

By using the means appropriate,
we extend ourselves beyond
the barriers of such complexity,
and so experience the Tao.

lou tsu rules.

This is still falling short of the "version 1.11 haiku" thread.  The AH poets need to get in gear.

That's a dreadful translation you've got your hands on there. Get Arthur Waley's version or something. Please.

He may be a tard, but it's a very good and humorous explanation of the concept.

It's probably easier to appreciate if you have done some teaching.  Explaining complicated ideas in simple language is an art form.

The Wrong way - Funked enjoys a spirited tumble through the marigolds with others of the same phenotype while exchanging seminal extrusions.

The Right Way - Funked is Gay.

"Like a bee trying to extract pollen from a sunflower....."

Is that some kind of bizzare sexual analogy?
I think you're some kind of deviated prevert, and I think General Ripper found out about your preversion, and that you were organizing some kind of mutiny of preverts.
