Fox reports that Marines have discovered what may be a vehicle fitted out as a "germ-mobile" of some sort.

the funny thing is, one of the looters stole this vehicle and was driving it around before the Marines shot the tires out.

apparently the Marines are now guarding the weapons stocks at the police academy from the looters

In reference to the supposed nooculor material :D,  don't we have satillites that can detect that high a level of radiation?  Or have I been watching to many James Bond movies?  :D

You cant detect that from 100 miles up unless you're observing Armageddonlike amounts of the stuff, to my knowledge, anyway.  (basic law of physics: strength of radiation drops 4 times when doubling the distance, so distance going from 1 mile to 64 miles doubles 6 times.  So radiation would go 1000, 250, 62.5, 15.6, 3.9, 0.97.)  The NEST teams in the US drive around in trucks looking for signatures, though they probably have boats and aircraft as well.

Actually isn't it the Inverse Square Law?

1/1, 1/4, 1/9, 1/16, 1/25, 1/36, 1/49, etc.

hmm, you might be right, in which case the radiation in my example would drop to 1/4096 of 1000 or about 0.24
