Little trick for Free Hotlinking

You guys want to know a trick ?

If you dont already know this heres what you do for free hotlinking.

1> Take a screenie or find a pic you want to post.

2> Make a free account with geocities so you can upload files using the upload manager.

3> Get the image and open it using internet explorer, right click and hit "save as" Save the image as either bitmap or jpeg and type .txt after the file name (picturename.txt) and save.

Now you have the picture in a .txt format so it will only open in internet explorer and some decent paint programs.

4> upload the .txt picture to geocities and use that as the picture your going to hotlink

Geocities only stops you hotlinking images with .jpeg .gif and .bmp not .txt ;)

my sig is in .txt . . .

Thats the way i do it anyway :D

Or you could just upload a picture to picturetrail.com, and copy the link of the picture and paste it into the IMG tag ;)

I just like to use XNacho's service because the FreePicHosting.com sites can be confusing sometimes.

The only thing with geocities is that it doesnt allow direct linking.

Put this code in front of you image code on a BBS and this will allow you to see your image from Tripod/Geocities...etc.

Or you can use AngelFire.  That's what I use.  Apparently they fully support linking images to websites with their free accounts.
