Sure :)   Basically it's a large can with holes in the perimeter of the base, inside just above thes holes sits a grate that the charcoal rests on.  You stuff a couple pieces of newspaper in the bottom of the can (below the grate), fill the can with charcoal, sit it on the grate of your bbq, light the paper and in 15-20 minutes your coals are ready.  Dump the coals into your bbq, spread em around, put the cooking grate on and starting cooking :)

those starters work well.  it basicly works like a chimney, you light the bottom and the heat rises lighting the ones above, the chimney effect also pulls air through giving it more air to burn,  it gets all your coals ready to cook on much faster than waiting for the fire to spread out on it's own.  you also use much less charcoal because you don't have some burned up before others are ready to cook on.  and if you're a cheap bastard like me you can save a few bucks and just cut both ends out of a coffey can and use it with the same effect.

Not sure where ya live, but one of my tenants is the distributor for the Beef Eaters.

When I first did the lease with these folks, he kept telling me what a great grill this was and how much better the food tasted and how efficient it was along with the versatility it offered....I thought, great, just what I need, someone to sell me a grill. I mean a grill is a grill ya know?

Well, I was wrong....these beefeaters are 18,000 btu multi burner units....very efficient and after all of these years, I can honestly tell you, I've never tasted food off of a home grill that was as juicy and tasty as what comes off my grill...it's amazing.
They are of commercial quality and have not only a grill but a griddle as well....I cook quesadia's, pancakes, mexican omelets...the list goes on and on....you can smoke meats as well by using small cast iron smoke boxes.

As to the size and fit you want for your deck, there are many options available. If you would like, call Jim at 913-685-1111 and tell him your my friend, my rl name is Otto...he will be honest with you about what your looking to buy even if you choose not to do business with him.

Good Luck and may your calories taste yummy:)

To make a quick start charcoal from burning to glow:
Place some paper (Drenched in some fireliquid) into the middle of the fireplace. Build a pile of charcoal around it.
Take an empty food can and remove the bottom. Place it on the top of the pile, (this will work as a chimney and create a "draft", sucking oxygen into the fire). Light the pile.
