Hey Joc got a question fou you.
I just got done reading "God is my co-pilot" by Col. Robert L. Scott
and on the last page he recites
"Up, up the lang delirious burning blue
I've topped the wind-swept heights with easy grace
Where never lark, or even eagle, flew,
And while silent, lifting mind I've trod
The high untresspassed sancity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God."
This matches the last three lines on your squadrons home page but this book says that John Magee wrote it in the late part of early BOB (i'm guessing early 1940)
So did John Magee write it or did the canadian pilot write it?
or did just the canadian pilot add on the first few scentences?
oh yeah great sounds:D
