Your right about that. :)

We have a squad award for anyone who can take off from a CV in an F4U-D with 100% fuel, 2-1000lb bombs and rockets three times in a row successfully. :) Not as easy as you think. About 1/4 of our squad has it.

Back in the "Taking the Phillipines" TOD, TheFatz and myself managed I think 6 successive successful take-offs and traps across 3 frames in max loaded F4U-1D's.  Midnight got to about 4 before augering on a trap in the last frame.  :)
