Ripsnort? 19, 000 posts, you must have voice recognition.:D

Seriously, I'm looking for an effective, relatively inexpensive program to use to dictate short text message. (2-3 paragraphs).

Anyone have any recommendations?

Thanks in advance.

Tried the free Microsoft Agent. Was a hoot, not very useful though.

Dragon Naturally Speaking is the best i think, but it takes awhile for it to "learn" your voice patterns.

My roommate two years ago had a voice recognition program, think it was the Dragon one.  He eventually used it a bit for writing papers, but I think most of its use involved laughing at the crazy sentences it came up with.
