if i may say...

even my grouchy non-enthusiastic about this setup bellybutton greatly appreciates the work you musta put into this.  my problem with it is simply the fact that, and i think i speak for a lot of ct'ers, i'm a wwII aviation kinda guy.  if i wanted to fly in other realms, i'd go check out other sims.  not trying to flame ya...but does that make sense?

for the enjoyment of all regular ct'ers, i hope it flies (pun intended), and again, i DO appreciate your efforts.  but in the future, could we stick to wwII stuff, puhlease?

that is all.  :)

  @ the anal retentive "purists."  The CT just barely covers any sort of "realism" and mostly due to the fact it's simply axis v allies over some very decent and historical terrains - very little with the way the "battles" are actually fought by the "regulars."

lol.  buncha slobberdonleys. loosen up a bit and enjoy these kind of setups as an oppt'y to see how various planes match up.
Surrounded by suck and underwhelmed with mediocrity.
I'm always right, it just takes some poepl longer to come to that realization than others.
I'm not perfect, but I am closer to it than you are.

"The fantasy setup awhile back involving the Soviets and the other allies fighting over Japan after the surrender was a real stretch for me .. "

The adation of US planes to that set up was a strech, but the Russians did fight the Japanese on those very Islands modeled on that Map in Augast 45, and it was not after the cesation of hostitality's, it did hapen during the war.

I'm talking about the one on the Perdonia map that was mostly Yaks  and La7s vs Tempests and P51s.

Though I tend to agree with Dennis

This setup doesn't appeal to me because I want to play a WWII sim. I also dislike any setup that features jets, but that's secondary.
More important I want to support the efforts of the CT staff and most important I want to shoot down shane some day.

Flew this after the ToD was over in 14 minutes for me tonight...

Man, remind me to keep my durn mouth shut about 1950 Korea next time, eh?

Interesting how similar this setup is to the random thoughts I posted a while back...

I *like*...and it seems to be playing out the way I thought... Prop jobs doing their own thing, with the jets fighting each other, with occasional strafing attempts on the *MUCH* slower prop-iron.

I died a LOT tonight.
Not because I got *shot* a lot, really... But moreso because my SA got low on some anti-tank runs, and I got rearended (multiple times!) by someone swooping in on me in a 'MiG-15', guns blazing (but wildly inaccurate), doing about 550 knots...

*ROFL*

Great fun...whets my appetite for LOMAC, though... :)
