I just love it when I'm out over the water engaged in a furball and get zapped by some Dweeb toolin around in a damn PT boat lookin for some cheap kills and ruining the fights.  Allies are already hugging their field and ship ack, I guess having someone out half way between the fleet and our base allows them to ack run from anywhere on the map.

*chuckle* Naj, buddy ... it's not just an "Allied" thing. Trust me ... I'd attach the screenshot if I could. ;)

I know you know better. There's not a single ... righteous complaint ... either side can make. There's just complaints.

I'm not saying none of the IJ players do dweebish stuff, but it certainly seems to me the allies in the PTO sets spend an inordinate amount of time Ack runnin.  Guys uppin PT in the middle of a furball just gives the allies another shot at their favorite pass time.

My first 262 sortie in the main (a few days after they came out) I was rtb on the mindinao map and as I put my gear down an nme pt spawned 2k away and nailed me with 40mm. It was a helluva shot.

PTs are fun as hell. Especailly if your buddy kepts draggin suckers for ya. I dont think its "dweeby" like constantly running. I know have dragged many for Brady over the years. Hes a sniper in the ostie as well. I think he may off gotten 16 kills or so when a squaddies and I dragged the pigeons for him. I am terrible shot and end up dead quick when Im in one.

I wish HT would add smoke. The smoke genrators are there but I can imagine the fps hit when lots of pts spawn and smoke.

Ya just gotta watch. The jap planes can take many hits.

Ya that 40mm Rocks on the PT, but 12 I think is the best I have ever goten in one sortie with it.

Yep.  I like PT boats; they're a fun change of pace.  It's called combined arms, folks.  Ever heard of a flak-trap?  I usually don't last that long in them, but they're a fun distraction.  One rocket hit and they're (literally) toast.  I agree with the smoke generator request.  That would be a nice touch.

Roger that.

This setup has been one of the worst ever for gameplay imho ... which might have something to do with the level of acrimony.  But there seems to be a general downward trend to the arena in a lot of respects.

Too bad, too.  We're seeing some of the best maps ever.

Perhaps if HT would throw us a bone?  Something in the way of a minor update ... like a new plane or two ... while we wait for AH2?  Not going to happen, I know ... but I wonder if the staleness has something to do with things.

Kinda funny to hear your opinion (slash, and dennis).   I was just thinking that I've had some of the most fun ever in the CT with this setup.  Fighting N1k/Ki61/A6m5's in my Hellcat in and around the CV's and shore facilities has been some of the best times I've had in AH in a long time.    A couple nights ago there was like a 30 vs. 30 furball that was just awesome to watch or be in.

On another note I did spend some time on the IJN side of things and in general enjoyed myself a great deal as well.  I did see some of the more obnoxious behavior, but in general it has been pretty decent fights for me.

Splash1 (Dennis) had a bad week, I think. Probably all my fault. Maybe next time it rolls around it'll be better. Slash is good folk, could be burnout. *ShruG* I enjoyed it too. Let my hair down and got all silly like. But then I think any CT Pac setups with a Hog in it is good. No matter how far I gotta fly the thing. But having a moving base helped. Finding a safe place to park it that isn't too far from the playground is a theory I'm thinkin' of promoting. ;)

If someone would light a fire under HTC and get us the KI-84 FRANKenstein the Pacific would soon become a whole new theater than the one we have now.

I think your right Arlo. I dont mind this set up really, Im just not having fun with AH right now. Which I find odd because I love this game and have fun flying with you people  ( well, most of you:D ) I may take some time off and work on my music,  well  some time off anyway:D  I am going to fly Andi's set up first though. I think he's made a neat set up for what we have to work with.  <> all.

Soulyss, glad to hear you've enjoyed the setup.  I suspect the lion's share of allied have.  I might have had a pretty good time allied, as well .. who knows?  Numbers have been too skewed on non-squad nights to find out.

I just got frustrated with the chickensh't 'run away' tactics all week.  It's no fun chasing dots all over the map when they'd rather run than engage.  It gets old.  I gripe about it.  We move on.  But it's not fun.  ymmv.

One evening Soulyss was gracious enough to offer to stand and fight when I squeaked on ch1 about my most recent sightseeing trip in pursuit of a timid con.  But since it was 5:1 allied at that point, I respectfully declined and logged.  He'd have probably waxxed me post-haste in his Hellcat, anyway... but at least it would have been a fight.

The ironic thing about all these nmys blowing advantage then running away as fast as their Pratt & Whitney will carry them is that I'm really not that good.

Arlo, I didn't have a bad week.  When I actually got to engage enemy planes, I did well enough by my own standards.  I've done better; I've done worse.  Probably about a wash.
Your contribution was to cherrypick me as I was about to drop gear on final approach in a smoking bird -- and I called it cheap,   which it was.  Care to take a crack at me while I'm in a position to defend myself?
We can do the Dueling Arena thing if you like.  Only stipulation is you can't run away.
