Missing Export
« on: June 09, 2003, 03:58:40 PM »
When I try and open AH, I get these 2 messages:

"C:\Program Files\HTC\Aces High\aceshigh.exe
A device attached to the system is not functioning"

"ACESHIGH.EXE file is linked to missing export DSOUND.DLL:12"

It seems to be Direct X (got version 9.0 and Windows ME  if your wondering)... but I don't know what to do... anyone know?

Run DXDIAG and see what version you are actually running.  That error occurs when running earlier versionof DirectX.

If DXDIAG shows you have DirectX 9 installed, then go to the sound tab abd try running the diagnostics.

To run DXDIAG, from the Windows desktop, press Start, then select Run and type it in the dialog box and press .

OK, I did that but as soon as i tried to open it, it said DXDIAG is older version than current directx i got... I had windows reinstalled a little while ago and it said that so I asked what to do and they all said to just upgrade to a newier version of DirectX. So I did, and it still did it, and so I upgraded again and it still hasn't fixed it???

BTW: I ran that test and it said everything was ok.
